7 WAYS TO BOOST TRAFFIC TO YOUR BUSINESS WEBSITE

It’s time to get a little creative with the way you drive web traffic! Below are seven ways you may not have thought of that can make a remarkable difference in your site visitor counts month over month:

1. Mix up your content.
Diversifying your content (that is, posting something new every day) will help ensure that your audience never gets bored, and that you don’t either. Post links back to your website, but also post photos, articles, giveaways, videos, and share others’ posts as well. If your followers know they can always expect something new and fresh from you that’s super relevant to them, they’ll be that much more likely to navigate to your website to learn more about your business and services.

2. Don’t neglect your LinkedIn profile.
Most of us think of LinkedIn as a great resource for active job seekers or those looking to expand their B2B network. Those things are still true, but these days, LinkedIn is so much more. If you’re not posting content to your profile, you’re missing out on a great opportunity to interact with potential clients and real estate professionals. Did you know that the demographics of LinkedIn just so happen to align with the ideal homebuyer? More than 77 percent of users are over 30, and nearly half earn more than $75,000 a year. Make a point to link to your site each week, and your numbers will start ticking up.

3. Send out regular email campaigns.
You may not automatically think of email marketing when you think of driving traffic to your website, but it can be a goldmine. Not only are there links to your site at the bottom of every email in the signature area, there are countless opportunities to create a call to action that points users directly to your website. Think outside the box: remember that traffic doesn’t have to go just to your homepage. Try directing a button to your Resource Center or your Why NPI page.

4. Don’t forget to interact with others on social media.
An effective social media strategy almost always involves interacting with other business pages. It’s just plain nice, and it helps show support for others, but it’s also an excellent backlinking tactic. You can essentially plant links to your site on relevant posts (seriously, make sure it’s relevant—we don’t ever want to be accused of spamming!), and getting your name out there means curious folks potentially clicking on your business page, then your website to learn more. Make a point of commenting on a post or two a week, and you’ll start to notice a difference.

5. Post videos to your social media accounts and website.
So we mentioned videos above, but it bears repeating. Algorithms on all social media platforms prioritize video content above other types of content. Video posts will get you seen, so why not capitalize on that by throwing a link to your website in the post caption? If prospective clients get a taste of how you might walk them through a home during their inspection via video, they’ll feel that much more urgency to click over to your site and book.

6. See what your competition is up to.
Doing a little digging never hurts. What is your competition doing on social media that you’re not? What do they have on their site that you don’t, if anything? Getting a leg up often means knowing what’s going on in your market Remember, you can put your own spin on just about any idea, and your Marketing Team is here to help!

7. Share articles from The Inspector blog.
Have you visited npiweb.com/blog lately? This blog lives on npiweb.com, plus most of our individual inspector sites. Driving traffic to it by continuously posting individual articles to social media helps bolster npiweb.com, and in doing so, it helps all sites attached to the domain rise through the ranks in Google that much quicker. By sharing a blog article once a week, you’re driving traffic and slowly helping edge out other inspection companies.
